DarkLens is an automated, AI-powered dark pattern compliance scanner. We analyze websites and digital interfaces to identify potential dark patterns, deceptive design practices, and potential compliance issues related to consumer protection regulations.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
DarkLens offers five service tiers:
Payments are processed securely via our partners. International transactions are handled by Paddle, and India-based transactions are handled by Razorpay. Subscriptions bill in advance on a recurring schedule. You may cancel recurring subscriptions at any time through your account settings.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK: By purchasing a digital product or service (such as a one-time scan or a subscription) from DarkLens, you expressly consent to the immediate provision of the service and acknowledge that you thereby lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once performance of the service has begun.
DarkLens retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all algorithms, software, designs, and proprietary models. You retain all rights to the data you submit to the Service. By submitting data for scanning, you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of providing the Service.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT A "CLEAN" SCAN MEANS YOUR SITE IS FULLY COMPLIANT WITH APPLICABLE LAWS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DARKLENS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY FINES OR PENALTIES INCURRED FROM REGULATORY BODIES. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
DarkLens provides informational analysis based on automated AI review. Our reports do NOT constitute legal advice. We are not a law firm. You must consult with qualified legal counsel regarding your compliance with consumer protection and privacy laws.
You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, unauthorized scraping, attempting to circumvent rate limits, or using the Service to harass or defame others. Please see our Acceptable Use Policy for full details.
DarkLens respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed by content accessible on our Service, you may submit a takedown request to our designated agent at legal@darklens.dev containing all information required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page and/or sending an email to the address associated with your account.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India. This governing law applies regardless of where the user is located.
